Nethuwa Beri Minihek (A Man Much Needed) by acclaimed playwright and director Rajitha Dissanayake is an award-winning play featuring well-known artists from the silver screen, television and stage.

It depicts the story of a father in search of a lost power and a daughter in search of a lost mother’s love.

Moreover, it tells us the story of a generation in search of a lost identity in contemporary Sri Lanka.

In 2017 Nethuwa Beri Minihek bagged 7 awards at the State Drama Festival, including Best Play, Best Script, Best Director and Best Actor. The play has been touring Sri Lanka widely drawing both critical and box-office success since its maiden performance.
