The Artists

Since the late 1960s, Main Artist has captivated audiences with a unique voice and artistry, earning prestigious honors like Presidential and Swarna Sankha awards. Female vocalist (Deepika Priyadarshani) is the luminous soprano who carries forward Sri Lankan female classical vocal tradition, she is among the country’s most popular and critically lauded artists. She is notably the only Sri Lankan vocalist ever awarded the Gusi Peace Prize, reflecting her cross-cultural prominence and the universal appeal of her music.
